The newest soft leafed tall fescue variety

Paolo is one of the newest soft leafed tall fescue varieties. The variety comes from the Barenbrug breeding station in France and has performed extremely well on yields with more protein per hectare. Tolerant of both damp and dry as well as both warm and cool conditions. Ideal for Mediterranean and Continental conditions. It was selected for significant finer leaves for improved palatability and higher dry matter intake.

Tall fescue is an important component in mixtures, particularly for pasture mixtures with intensive use in damp to dry conditions. Breeding successes have yielded fine-leaved varieties of tall fescue like Paolo, which are well-liked by livestock.

Key notes:
1. Prolific home-grown feed
2. Fuzz-free grazing
3. Spend less on supplements

Fescue Grasses

Fescue is a widely adapted cool season grass. In the transition zone, fescues are used extensively due to its superior summer production. Fescues generally have a better drought, salinity, and waterlogged tolerance than ryegrass. To successfully establish fescues, make sure that planting commences during March.
